Hellingly Enchanted Forest Adventure

Can you help a young adventurer to lift a wicked witch's curse in this interactive 1-hour theatrical experience in the beautiful woods of Hellingly Country Park.

A wicked witch has cursed the enchanted forest and unless the curse can be lifted then the land will be plunged into darkness forever. A young adventurer living on the edge of the forest needs your help to discover the witch’s spell and reverse it.

During the 1-hour experience you will be guided by the young adventurer and meet various fairy tale and fantasy characters who can help (or hinder) you to solve the puzzles in the witch’s spell book and lift the curse. You will need a smartphone to complete the puzzles.

The trail includes some paths over uneven ground so sturdy footwear and clothing appropriate to the weather is highly recommended. Some paths may be unsuitable for pushchairs but an alternative route can be taken.

The trail is best experienced as it gets dark, and you should bring a torch to evening experiences. There are afternoon experiences for families with younger children.

The experience starts at the Hellingly Community Hub and after completing the experience you will return to the hub for a complimentary hot drink. Please arrive 10 minutes before your experience start time to allow time to register and download the witch's spell book on your smartphone.

There is free parking at the Hellingly Community Hub (please do not park on the road, if the car park is full please park in the NHS car park at the top of The Drive). Please consider walking, cycling (the Cuckoo Trail is nearby) or using the bus (51 or 1X to Roebuck Park).

The Enchanted Forest Adventure is being presented by Animazing C.I.C. – a not for profit Community Interest Company based in Hellingly, and students from Hailsham Community College, with support from Wealden District Council, Hellingly Parish Council and Hailsham Town Council. Part of Hailsham Festival.

All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Children under 3 years old do not require a ticket.
